Last Post of the Year
It’s been a year now, and it’s only about 90 minutes more for 2010 to land. So what? What have we done? What are we doing? and What we are going to do?
Earlier this year we brought MSDNAA to Build Bright University in Siem Reap, and Only BBU in Siem Reap became the 1st University in Cambodia where Genuine Microsoft Products are available to students for free. We also had an event called, Microsoft Innovation Day to cheer up. Microsoft Surface, Silverlight 3 and WPF Demo first there.
Q2 this year we opened for the new MSP applications, and finally we get 10 new final MSPs, 4 in Siem Reap and 6 in Phnom Penh.
We’re been writing many articles about new technologies and help to inspire students in our communities.
Q3 this year we joined BarCamp Phnom Penh 2, and be brought {77 Install Festival} there. More than 77 of genuine Windows 7 Profession give away before the official launch date of Windows 7 RTM.
1 month after the official launch date of Windows 7 RTM worldwide, we hosted Windows 7 launch Party in Cambodia at Naga World. More than 1000 people attended, but we know some of you may be disappointed with our Event management, but we tried our best and we promise to improve it.
Also in this event, we announced ImagineCup 2010 as well OSF program to public. Thanks for those who are interested. we recieved the application from from many students to apply for OSF program. Our OSF website, http://onestepfuture.net closed on the deadline date, many of you may wonder. Why we didn’t send any update to you? The answer are, We wnat to make you surprise, we are working on new one step future website design to be lunched soon with new features such as HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET MVC 2 and Silverlight 4 (Beta) enabled. We can’t define the exact final date yet, but we are sure it’ll be available in February. and the final list of OSF will be there too.
Oh, wait., after BarCamp09, I told most of you that we will release Silverlight 3 the Power book on 01/01/2010, but this time frame and project has just been updated to Silverlight 4 project, so this book will be available in Silverlght 4 in May 2010. You may download its preview cover here to see.
Finally what’s in 2010? We’ll try to expand our MSDNAA to more University in Phnom Penh, Make sure Cambodian students will get the most of new technologies to extend their knowledge in the real-world business. and the cool thing are, you’ll be able to learn Microsoft latest technologies such as .NET4, SQL 2008R2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Sharepoint 2010 and much more in Khmer Language for free, and much more…
