I’m coming…

It’s been so quiet, since my last post of the year. We are very busy with our new projects of the year. As I mentioned before, Free Training Video, Tutorials and Tips, Books. They are all in Khmer Language. We are still working on it right now. So stay tuned…

How about OSF? OSF, hmmm… it’s now…. . :-)

In progressing, but we are just finally defined the landing date. It’ll be on 21st of March 2010. So you will see the website http://www.onestepfuture.net launches with the new design, and the OSF candidates will be shown there too.

On April we will probably have a cool celebration of Khmer New Year by offering the free Genuine Windows 7 Professional. Stay tuned…

And finally, sometime this year you will learn how to build Multi-touch application using .NET 4 platform. Stay tuned…

IC - Software Design Deadline for Cambodia

It was really great to see many students attended Windows 7 Launch Party Launch Event at Naga World last year. Imagine Cup was first introduced there to the Cambodian students.

In this post I was would like to inform anyone who participate in Software Design competition, please I recommend you to be sure to set up your group and submit the work before the 5th of May 2010 to prevent any unexpected problems. For more detail you may check it out here.

Last Post of the Year

It’s been a year now, and it’s only about 90 minutes more for 2010 to land. So what? What have we done? What are we doing? and What we are going to do?

Earlier this year we brought MSDNAA to Build Bright University in Siem Reap, and Only BBU in Siem Reap became the 1st University in Cambodia where Genuine Microsoft Products are available to students for free. We also had an event called, Microsoft Innovation Day to cheer up. Microsoft Surface, Silverlight 3 and WPF Demo first there.

Q2 this year we opened for the new MSP applications, and finally we get 10 new final MSPs, 4 in Siem Reap and 6 in Phnom Penh.

We’re been writing many articles about new technologies and help to inspire students in our communities.

Q3 this year we joined BarCamp Phnom Penh 2, and be brought {77 Install Festival} there. More than 77 of genuine Windows 7 Profession give away before the official launch date of Windows 7 RTM.

1 month after the official launch date of Windows 7 RTM worldwide, we hosted Windows 7 launch Party in Cambodia at Naga World. More than 1000 people attended, but we know some of you may be disappointed with our Event management, but we tried our best and we promise to improve it.

Also in this event, we announced ImagineCup 2010 as well OSF program to public. Thanks for those who are interested. we recieved the application from from many students to apply for OSF program. Our OSF website, http://onestepfuture.net closed on the deadline date, many of you may wonder. Why we didn’t send any update to you? The answer are, We wnat to make you surprise, we are working on new one step future website design to be lunched soon with new features such as HTML5, CSS3, ASP.NET MVC 2 and Silverlight 4 (Beta) enabled. We can’t define the exact final date yet, but we are sure it’ll be available in February. and the final list of OSF will be there too.

Oh, wait., after BarCamp09, I told most of you that we will release Silverlight 3 the Power book on 01/01/2010, but this time frame and project has just been updated to Silverlight 4 project, so this book will be available in Silverlght 4 in May 2010. You may download its preview cover here to see.

Finally what’s in 2010? We’ll try to expand our MSDNAA to more University in Phnom Penh, Make sure Cambodian students will get the most of new technologies to extend their knowledge in the real-world business. and the cool thing are, you’ll be able to learn Microsoft latest technologies such as .NET4, SQL 2008R2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Sharepoint 2010 and much more in Khmer Language for free, and much more…

New Program for Volunteers

Hey there, at BarCamp I got the questions from many guys if there are any program for volunteers?

And here is the answer! One Step Future is a new program under MSP program.

All candidates will get benefits such as get free Genuine Software ( Operating Systems, Developer tools, Designer Tools, E-learning…) and Be the next-to be-the MSP for next year, and you will get a lot of fun from Microsoft.

Here just the quick post to response you request, no much details just yet, but will be soon.

The Website is OneStepFuture.net in now in Pre-Beta, and the Website will be gone Beta1 on 12th November 2009, and the Register will be opened on 21st November 2009 in Windows 7 launch event at Naga World Resort.

Windows 7 launches in Cambodia

On 22nd October 2009, The Microsoft latest and great Operating Systems officially launched at most parts of the worlds. People able to purchase Windows 7 in a box since that day.

Today I would like to announce that, The Windows 7 Launch event will be soon in Cambodia. This event hosts by Microsoft MDP Cambodia. It will take place on 21 of Nov 2009 at Naga World Resort from 9am to 5:30pm.

Everyone are invited, I’ll also speak there about Windows 7 new features.

We’re going to BarCamp

Last year I missed BarCamp in Phnom Penh, but this year I won’t. :-)
BarCamp is one of the biggest IT event in Cambodia, can show up, share and discuss about the new technologies with each others.

All of our MSP are going to BarCamp on 03-04/10/2009, we have various technologies from Microsoft to show you there. So what do you expect to see? just drop us an email about the topic you want to discuss or to learn more. send email to msp-cambodia@student-partners.com

We will provide you a free Windows 7 RC Genuine DVD in the event (Limited DVDs, come first and get first).

Silverlight 3 is now available

Silverlight 3 beta has been released in about 4 months ago at MIX09.
Silverlight 3 bring out more than 50 new and cool features such as out-of-browser, 3D supports and much more.
Tim has blogged here about this new feature since in beta release.
We have set the next to release date of final version of Silverlight 3 on 10th of July 2009.
Many of you might have been awaiting for it . And today we happy to announce the final release of Silverlight 3 and Blend 3 + Stetch flow RC.

Deadline updated

The MSP Selection (Phnom Penh) is now updated the datetime.
Due to the request from many students from different Universities in Phnom Penh. Because of now is the final exam season, so they are really busy with their final exam, also we don't want to affect their time.
So we decide to extend the deadline.New deadline is on 30th of July 2009 and the Shortlist will be posted on the 3rd of August 2009

You may download the application form here, open the form with Adobe Reader 8 or later, save the file (file > Save As...) and attach these files send back to piseth@student-partners.com. Siem Reap.
***Please note: Do not click on Submit button, this function won't work, and I won't receive the forms from you.
After sending your application form to me via email, at least 1 day and not greater than 3 days (business day) you'll receive the confirmation email. Thanks very much to the applicants who have applied for MSP 2009-10.
In Siem Reap Region, now the final round ends, the selection was so hard because of the limit of final candidates are 4. They are all talent, but the only 4 most talented candidates will be selected. Finally we find the next-to-be the MSP candidates. In Phnom Penh Region the submitting is in progress and will ends on 30th of July.(updated)
