The Microsoft Student Partner Program recognizes top young minds from around the world who are passionate about technology. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop real-world skills to help you succeed in your future career, to help others learn about the technology of today and tomorrow, and to connect with other like-minded students, all whilst having a ton of fun along the way. The program is our way of encouraging students who are interested in building a closer relationship with Microsoft, and those who are simply hooked on technology, to develop their skills further.
What is an Microsoft Student Partner?
The ‘ideal candidate’ for an MSP would be a passionate and enthusiast individual who wants to learn about new tools and technologies. You would need to have a whole range of skills including excellent time management, organization and communication skills to ensure that you could host a successful campus launch event. An MSP should be comfortable and confident presenting in front of large audiences of both students and faculty members. You may even be asked to present in front of your fellow MSP's at an event. General business and sales skills come in very handy in order to allow you to articulate your ideas effectively when presenting. MSP's are social able, friendly and approachable individuals who like to meet new people. You will require the ability work as a team as well as use your own initiative. In summary, MSP's are innovative and creative students who are extremely passionate about technology.

How to become a Microsoft Student Partner?
Apply to the Microsoft Student Partners program associated with the country you live in. You must follow the specific instructions for applying to the Microsoft Student Partners program for you country. We will then review all the submitted applications and select the brightest and most innovative student developers and technology enthusiasts from universities across your country. If successful, you will have unique access to a Private Community Portal where MSP's can find out the latest news, events, resources, and forums as well as a whole host of useful tools. You'll be encouraged to share your passion and knowledge and to undertake a huge range of fun activities on-campus. In return, you'll get access to numerous benefits - including Microsoft software, reference materials and training as well as privileged information about future career opportunities. The activities can range from handing out leaflets and putting up posters around campus to hosting a campus launch event on new Microsoft tool or technology. Each activity carries a set number of points and you will be awarded points based on the quality of the evidence you submit with the activity. Throughout the year, you will receive massive amount s of training and support from Microsoft. These can be in the form of online training, resources and materials. Also, there will be the opportunity to attend multiple MSP events at different locations where you will learn about the new tools and technologies, meet Microsoft employees and even get some really cool surprises!
Microsoft Student Partners Cambodia
To apply for the Microsoft Student Partner in Cambodia, students must be enrolled full time in one of the selected accredited academic institutions within Phnom Penh City, Cambodia as listed below:
- Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP)
- Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC)
- National University of Management (NUM)
- University of Puthisastra (UP)
- Norton University (NU)
- Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC)
Students must be in year 2 or year 3 of the academic program which is fall in to one or more of the following area: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Design. All students must have valid identification and be eligible to work in Cambodia from July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012.
Application Process – due June 30, 2011 Application for Group B, start from July 7, 2011 till July 23, 2011. Now we are Open for Group C, Start from 1 till 7 August 2011.
Get the application form from your campus or download below. There are only 8 questions and Step 1it should take you about 15 minutes to complete. After you complete it, submit to your campus or send to v-pichho@microsoft.com.
Deadline, 30th June 2011, shortlist will be announced on 7th July 2011 23rd July 2011.
Group B and C shortlist will be announced together on 9 of August 2011.
