I am very proud to see this MSDN for Cambodia up and running. I think this is a great place for all Khmer/Ms Developer to join and descuss about software development issue, and helping each other to build an acheivment together.

If I was not worng, during 2000, there is no university provided any class that talk about Patterns or Framework Design (may be there was .... in ICT or សាលាតិចណូ). Most of the university provided some called OOP, and those are most likely about Inheritance, Polymophism, Encapsolation blah blah or even worse they did C++ programming languag and called it OOP :)

The problem I want to point out is, the university never teach student more beyond basic OOP concept. and this lead student donnot know how to structure the concept into an effecient archeture component for solving particular problem.

Please add another category to the forum "General", so that we can do post the topic which doesn't fall into the specific ones....

Also, there is a bug on the page. Whenever we click on the number of topic, right next to people's name, it supposes to show all the topics posted by that user. Instead it shows:

Sorry, there was a problem with your last request!

Hopefully it will be fixed :)

Anyone watched the PDC 2008 about Parallel Programming for Managed Developer yet?

Hi All,

Did you saw the running icons that are running aroung in Home page?

Some of my friends have a very interesting comments about it.

Bora: Man.... That silverlight animation on the front page just suck!!!!
It consumes up to 20% of my 1.8GHz, which is around 300KHz.
I wonder why people sacrifice the performance for the sack of animation.
And it just makes me feel dizzy too!!!! I stare at it for 1 minutes and my eyes almost fall down onto the table!! Lolz...

Socheat: It depends on people context, otherwise no need to research on Silverlight project ha ha ha,
people
sometimes don't know when to use it, they just used it sometimes to
show that they know silverlight, but they don't think much about user
experience,
why I could design one button in html/css easily, and why they tried harder to do it in silverlight,
and how do they think that the animation drive traffice to site make the site?, ... :)

Sambo:Tell ur boss to change ur pc man!!!FYI, more about Silverlight http://silverlight.live.com/

Bora: Ha Ha... it's not because of the PC problem... It's about what we call
"Best Practice" in developing Silverlight application. They haven't set
the MaximumFrameRate for this small sl app, so it's been running on
it's default 60fps... That's why you will see the animation is quite
smooth. On our machines over here is ok... Even it doesn't make any
problem on my machine too... But imagine the machine on internet coffee
back at home.... only 500GHz cpu or 800GHz cpu... You won't have any
spare space for other application to run at all
I bet, if we set it down to 15fps, this app will take only around 50Khz CPU consumption... the most!!!!

So, it's a considerable approach to lower down from 300KHz -> 50KHz consumption...
See.... Windows Mobile guy!!!! Lolz...
